When you create an appointment from the calendar, the visit reason is the main field of the modal. This guide is for office staff and explains how the visit reason sets the service and the available times, how the flexible time selector works, and how medical plans are filtered.
Step 1: Choose the visit reason
The visit reason is the main field of the appointment modal. When you choose it, the following happens:
- If the reason has an assigned service: the service fills in automatically and cannot be edited.
- If the reason has no assigned service: you choose the service, and that field is required.
The free-text reason field and the comments field are now a single field.
Step 2: Review the available times
The available times and their interval come from the visit reason, the provider, and the date you choose. If you change any of these, the times update.
Step 3: Choose the provider
- Service centers: the provider is no longer required.
- Medical offices: nothing changes, you choose the provider as usual.
Step 4: Choose the time
The selector only offers times within the configured schedule.
If your office has the after-hours appointments option turned on, the selector also shows the group Fuera del horario de oficina. When you choose a time from that group, the note Esta hora está fuera del horario de oficina. appears.
Step 5: Choose the medical plan
The list of medical plans is filtered by the plans of the providers. If you already chose a provider, the list shows only that provider's plans.
Time Off days
You cannot create appointments manually on a Time Off day, unless your office has the after-hours appointments option turned on.
