Custom Responses allow you to further customize Lara, BrainHi's Automated Virtual Assistant, by creating new responses and linking them to keywords.

Adding custom responses to your account

To add a new custom response to your account, go to the Custom Responses section in your Settings, and click the Add New Custom Response button

You'll be presented with a text field where you can add your new custom response for Lara to use. Due to the limitations of SMS, all of Lara's responses are limited to 160 characters or less.

Once you've added your custom response, you can edit it using the button next to Lara's word balloon. You can also delete a response, unless it's already been used by Lara.

To the right of the custom response is where you can add the key words and phrases that you'd like Lara to listen for and respond to. Type into the text field and click the Add button to include a new key word or phrase.

Tip: Keywords can't be shorter than three characters but, as a rule, keep your key words and phrases short—the longer a word or a phrase is, the less likely that a patient will actually write it into a message for Lara to respond to.

Heads up! Lara may already be using your new key word or phrase in her standard messages—if she is, we'll let you know.

Once you've added a key word or phrase, you can edit or delete it, unless Lara has already used it to respond to a message.

Once you have more than five key words or phrases, you can show or hide them, to save space.
