What is Messaging Configuration?
Digital Queue can send automatic text messages (SMS) to your patients at different moments during their visit. From the portal you decide which ones to activate.
How to activate or deactivate each message
- Go to Settings > Waitlist > SMS Notifications.
- Use the toggle next to each message type to activate or deactivate it.
The available message types are:
-
Registration confirmation — sent when the person registers on the waitlist.
"You have been added to our waiting list. Your turn number is 00001. We will send you a message as soon as it is your turn. — [Account Name]"
-
Next in line — advance notification with a configurable lead time (for example, 3 turns before).
"Pending in room, your turn is approaching. - [Account Name]"
-
Turn alert — sent when the person is called.
"It's your turn! Please proceed to [Queue] to be served at [Station]. — [Account Name]"
-
Did not arrive — notice when a turn is removed due to patient absence.
"We tried to call you for your turn, but we did not receive your presence to serve you, so your turn has been removed. — [Account Name]"
-
Visit completed — sent when the visit ends.
"Your visit has been completed! — [Account Name]"
How to configure the "Next in line" notification
- Enable the "Next in line" message.
- Define how many turns in advance you want the notification to be sent (for example, 3 turns before).
- Save the changes.
Summary
- Activate or deactivate each message type according to your institution's needs.
- Configure how far in advance patients are notified that their turn is approaching.
- All messages include your institution's name so patients can easily identify them.
