What are queues and stations?
Queues represent each care process in your institution (for example, Registration, Nursing, Evaluation). Stations are the physical points where each patient is served within that queue (for example, Room 1, Exam Room 1, Window 3).
How to activate or deactivate a queue
- Go to Settings > Waitlist from the portal.
- Find the queue you want to activate or deactivate.
- Use the toggle next to the queue name to activate or deactivate it, according to your institution's processes.
How to customize a queue name
- In the same Waitlist section, click on the name of the queue you want to edit.
- Enter the new name that reflects your actual care flow (for example, "Laboratory" instead of "Queue 2").
- Save the changes.
When renaming a queue or station, the system must regenerate the audio that announces turns. This process may take between 30 seconds and 2 minutes — wait for the on-screen confirmation before leaving the settings. For now, use only letters and numbers in names (avoid "/" and other special characters) so that the audio generates correctly.
How to assign stations to a queue
- Select the queue to which you want to assign a station.
- Add or edit the corresponding stations (for example, Room 1, Exam Room 1).
- Save the changes.
How to prevent manual turn creation in a queue
If you prefer that turns in a queue be generated only automatically (for example, through transfers) and not manually by staff, you can disable this option:
- Go to Settings > Waitlist > Configure your Waiting Lists.
- Click the three-dot menu (⋮) next to the desired queue.
- Select the option to disable manual turn creation in that queue.
Summary
- Activate or deactivate queues according to your processes.
- Customize names to reflect your actual care flow.
- Assign specific stations to each queue.
- Control whether staff can manually create turns in each queue.
