What are Services?
Services are the visit reasons a patient can select when registering (for example, "General Consultation," "Laboratory," "Vaccination"). They are configured in Settings > Waiting List > Check-in Configuration.
What are Sub-Services?
Sub-services allow you to divide a main service into more specific options. For example, the "Laboratory" service can have the sub-services "Blood Test," "X-Ray," and "Ultrasound."
Benefits of using sub-services:
- More detail about the actual reason for the visit.
- Better organization of your office flow.
- The sub-service is printed on the turn ticket, so staff knows exactly why the patient is coming.
How it looks at the kiosk
- The patient selects the main service (for example, "Laboratory").
- If that service has sub-services configured, the step "Please specify:" appears for the patient to choose the exact option.
- If the service requires a provider, that step appears next.
How are they activated?
Sub-services are configured together with your Customer Success Manager, who defines the main services, their sub-services, and how many a patient can select per registration. If your institution needs them and they are not yet available, contact your Customer Success Manager to have them enabled.
Summary
- Services are the general visit reasons; sub-services are more specific options within a service.
- They help better organize the care flow and print more detail on the turn ticket.
- They are enabled and configured together with your Customer Success Manager.
